As many of you are already aware I opened a second office several years ago, joining practices with the office of Dr. Richard Tesser in Brentwood. Some of you have been treated over there in the past and I have received very positive feedback. The office is a highly respected one, with a 40 year reputation for professional and quality care. Dr. Tesser is, in fact, a past-president of the Suffolk County Dental Society and very respected among his peers, as well. At this time we are going to complete this process and merge the two offices together full time, in Brentwood. We will be closing the Huntington Village office and beginning full time in Brentwood, approximately July 1, 2010.

There are numerous advantages for you, the patient, with this new venture.

The office has a very dedicated and highly competent and caring staff that has been with Dr. Tesser for many years (20 to 30+ years in some cases). We will be able to offer you more hours and days of service to better accommodate your schedule and cover emergencies, plus more availability for hygiene appointments, with 3 highly qualified dental hygienists on staff sharing 2 full time schedules each day. We even have appointments beginning at 7AM two days a week, which is a very sought after time. We also will be able to offer same day crowns, as the office is one of only a few on Long Island that has a Cerec Cad/Cam unit for computer designed, in-office milled, all-ceramic crowns. Additionally, we have the VELscope Oral Cancer Detection Device which utilizes fluorescence technology to aid in the early visualization of cancer and precancerous lesions. This is absolutely the most up to date technology available.

The office is centrally located with very easy access from the LIE, Northern Parkway and Sagtikos Parkway, and within walking distance of the LIRR. The office is just two miles due south of the LIE in a professional building at 652 Suffolk Avenue, between Wicks Road/5th Avenue and Washington Avenue. It is just 25 minutes door to door from the Huntington office to Brentwood and for many of you it might take the same amount of time or even less time, without having to contend with the traffic traveling into downtown Huntington Village.

Some of you may miss the Huntington office and the familiar routine. I certainly can understand, but I ask that you give the new location a try at least once. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised and will feel as comfortable as you do in Huntington. The familiar faces of Debbie and Tina will be there to welcome you (as well as myself, of course) and help you feel more comfortable when you come in. In fact, Tina has worked with me in both locations for several years, as some of you know.
